Crab Stuffed Cheddar Bay Biscuits with Lemon Butter

Preparing the Biscuit Dough:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, Old Bay seasoning, cayenne pepper, paprika, and black pepper.

2. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, lump crab meat, chopped parsley, and milk until just combined.

3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together. Be careful not to overwork the dough.

4. Roll out the dough to a 1-inch thickness and use a biscuit cutter to cut out rounds. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

5. In a small bowl, beat the egg with a splash of milk to create an egg wash. Brush the tops of the biscuits with the egg wash before baking.

6. Bake the biscuits in a preheated oven until they are golden brown and cooked through.
